February 3, 2008 by jipsy32I hear all the time about amber alerts and missing children and my heart goes out to those families. But, as bad as their situations are, they at least have the support of the public at large. What can you do when the person stealing your children is supported by the state? There is no place to turn. None of the family has seen my two grandchildren for two years. There was no abuse alleged and we would have done anything to keep this from happening. Instead, we were kept in the dark while they took permanent custody behind our backs. We were not offered attorneys and we were not sent any papers from the court. Surely, there must be some sort of advocates for the rights of children who are being denied their right to the pursuit of happiness. We need help. There are thousands of us. How can this happen in America? It’s a national disgrace!
